New Team Integration
Early success with a new team depends upon a leader’s skill at integrating the team and the knowing how to maximize the unique work styles of employees. New teams generally come together through reorganizations, internal promotions, newly hired leaders, and mergers and acquisitions. Our new team leadership development program helps organizational leaders and their direct reports meet the challenges of quickly integrating into a productive work unit through compatibility profiles, leadership coaching and team development work.

New team Integration Roadmap
Phase 1: Compatibility assessment and feedback
We will conduct online compatibility profiles on behalf of the organizational leader and his/her direct reports. The profiles measure compatibility between each direct report and the organizational leader. The compatibility tool and this program help leaders hit the ground running by understanding how best to leverage, communicate and motivate diverse employee work styles. We facilitate feedback meetings, highlighting areas of compatibility and uniqueness between the organizational leader and the direct report. We identify strategies to enhance the working relationship and put an action plan into place.
Phase 2: Leadership development coaching
We help leaders develop leadership skill sets through a customized program of one-on-one coaching. We help leaders with:
- Setting the tone in the organization going forward.
- Adjusting leadership style to calibrate to the new team.
- Proactively communicating expectations.
- Developing constructive feedback skills.
- Collaborating cross-functionally.
- Visibly demonstrating that they will invest in their direct report’s success.
Phase 3: Team development
We will design and facilitate a half-day team development meeting. Targeted outcomes usually include clarifying roles and responsibilities, resolving team challenges and developing higher levels of team cohesion.

Timeline and Meeting Roadmap
Length of time – approximately 9-12 months.
- Orientation and Planning Meeting
- Compatibility profiles are implemented.
- Compatibility profile feedback meetings.
- Twelve one-on-one goal driven coaching meetings.
- Mid-point review meeting to assess progress against the goals and do any necessary calibration for the second half of the program.
- Closing meeting to discuss program results and to outline a development plan going forward.
